Blood is a tough stain, especially if it is not treated while the stain is still fresh. So to remove it effectively, it needs to be pre-treated. An effective solution to remove blood from clothes is Ariel liquid, as blood is an enzymatic stain and Ariel liquid detergent has enzymes that are very efficient at breaking down enzymatic stains. So follow the instructions below and get rid of those pesky blood stains in the 1st go.
A bit of red in your outfit can be a good thing, but when it comes from your blood and is smeared on your favourite blouse, it’s definitely not a good thing.
Salt is the old favourite to lift blood stains from fabric and your favourite garments, but at Ariel we prefer a different method that doesn’t involve experimenting. Watch our step by step guide on how to get rid of blood stains from clothing, or read the instructions below.
Removing blood stains
1
Remove excess
Rinse the blood stained garment under cold running water to remove any excess blood. The higher the water pressure, the easier it will be to remove any excess.
2
Pour
Pour Ariel Gel Detergent directly onto the stain, enough to completely cover the stain. You can pour from either the bottle or the cap.
3
Load
Without washing off the detergent, place the garment into the washing machine with other items. Leaving the detergent on the stain will boost your wash performance.
4
Dose
The cap is also a dosing device. Just fill it with the correct dose of detergent and place it directly into your washing machine drum, on top of the clothes.
5
Wash
Wash with the usual cycle, at the highest indicated temperature. Always make sure to follow the instructions on the garment’s care label.
6
Unload
After the wash cycle is complete, unload the garments immediately.
